I made my first ever fabric collage yesterday, for a challenge on pamelajoypurses.ning.com, which is a super site to join-you can win awesome prizes like her handmade art totes and art supplies or rubber stamps...you just never know what she will come up with next!!! Anyway, I finally overcame my "fear of the fabric" and got down to business...was a total BLAST to do, and I will definitely be doing more in the future. Here is a pic of what I did...the theme was houses...:
I decided to glitter up my sun with some Extreme Glitter in gold, and add a touch of definition around the windows with some dimensional fabric paint...really a lot of fun. I started out with matte medium for the adhesive, then switched to Mod Podge. Both worked equally as well, but the matte medium was more expensive, and I didn't want to use it all up on one project, lol.
Today I have been making paper dolls for another challenge, (on the same NING site), and have so many projects going, I don't know what to do next...Just a normal week for me, lol!
Don't forget about the bracelet giveaway....leave a comment and your email and I will contact you if you win the drawing!!! Here is what you would win:
Not bad for just leaving a comment, huh???
Happy creating,
Laura
